We attune to the cycles of the year by stepping forward into each new season with appropriate lifestyle changes.

The keyword for Spring is “Rejuvenation” and in Traditional Chinese Medicine the dominant organs assigned to the season are the Liver and Gall Bladder. So, purification is one of the first things we could consider through some kind of detoxifying program. For many years I have led a Spring Cleanse class for patients at my clinic, Preventive Medical Center of Marin in Northern California, and this year I am also offering the same 14 day workshop online.

Stay tuned here on my website or through my monthly eNews for more information about this upcoming 14 day program.

After completing my Western medical training in 1972 I started to learn more about natural and traditional medicines and I also moved from a busy city to the beautiful small town of Bolinas on the California coast about an hour north of San Francisco.

I began my studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine during this period and started to develop the integration of Natural, Eastern and Western therapies that would become the foundation of my medical philosophy, which I have come to call NEW Medicine. Being closer to nature and her seasons while reading about the Chinese 5 Elements, I was inspired to write my first book Staying Healthy with the Seasons. I also did my first Spring Cleanse during this time and it was a life-changing experience for me. I have continued doing this detox every year since that time while leading classes at my clinic and online.

I hope you’ll consider joining me and others of like mind in this two week rejuvenation experience!
